Experience two very different sides of New York State in one flexible self-drive vacation.
Begin with two nights in New York City, where famous landmarks, distinctive neighborhoods, world-class museums and Broadway theaters await. A rental car is not needed during your stay in Manhattan, allowing you to explore conveniently by subway, bus, taxi or on foot.
On Day 3, collect your rental car and travel north into the Hudson Valley. Follow the Hudson River through a landscape of wooded hills, historic estates and welcoming small towns. Explore places such as Cold Spring, Beacon, Hyde Park, Rhinebeck and Kingston.
Continue into the Catskill Mountains for waterfalls, forest trails, mountain viewpoints and charming communities including Woodstock, Phoenicia and Tannersville.
Finish with a final night near Newark Liberty International Airport, placing you within convenient reach of your departure terminal the following morning.
